Terms of Use & End User License Agreement

These Terms of Use (the "Terms" or "EULA") are a binding agreement between you and AfriHarvex ("AfriHarvex", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the AfriHarvex platform — a verified marketplace for agriculture, livestock, land and logistics with escrow-protected payments, AI-assisted pricing, in-app messaging and calling, and cross-border settlement, available on the web and as native iOS and Android apps. By creating an account, or by accessing or using AfriHarvex, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use AfriHarvex.
1. Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information, including your real first and last name, and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
2. User-generated content
AfriHarvex lets users create content — product listings, profiles, storefronts, status posts, threads, reviews, and messages ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit, and you retain ownership of it. You grant AfriHarvex a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute your User Content for the purpose of operating the service.
3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior
AfriHarvex has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. By using AfriHarvex you agree that you will not post, upload, or transmit any content, and will not engage in any conduct, that is:
- unlawful, fraudulent, scam-related, or deceptive;
- harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, or bullying;
- sexually explicit, obscene, violent, or otherwise offensive;
- infringing on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- spam, or impersonation of another person or business.
This agreement to not post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior is a condition of your use of AfriHarvex.
4. Reporting, moderation & enforcement
- Every listing, profile, and message can be reported from within the app using the 🚩 Report control.
- You can block any user from your profile and chat screens; blocked users cannot message you or appear in your feeds.
- We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and act on them — including removing content and ejecting the offending user — within 24 hours.
- We may remove content, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
5. Marketplace, escrow & payments
- AfriHarvex facilitates trade of real-world goods and services between users. We are not a party to the underlying sale.
- Eligible deals are protected by escrow: funds are held and released according to the deal's terms. Payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Fees, if any, are disclosed before you complete a transaction.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to breach security, scrape or reverse-engineer the platform, interfere with other users, or use AfriHarvex for any illegal purpose.
7. AI features
AfriHarvex includes an AI assistant ("Champi") and AI-assisted pricing and matching. When you use these features, your input may be sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI output may be inaccurate and is provided for convenience only — it is not financial, legal, or professional advice.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
AfriHarvex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfriHarvex is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from dealings between users.
9. Termination
You may stop using AfriHarvex and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Contact support@afriharvex.com.
